can anybody hook me up with a "how to"..i basically need to have maybe 3 or 4 red leds to scan ( like the knight rider effect ) to be connected to a 12v supply. i'm hoping to replace a single blinking red led with this.

thanks

Newbie here.  I've had 1 class in college on electronics, but that link you(xetmes) just flew over my head.  Anyway you can put that in normal english posted_image

well... the part list at teh bottom explains it all....

2 IC's... or.. intigrated cuircuts.....  think of these as little premade pathways for the electronic data... sending juice this way but not that way... and connecting these 2, but not that one.... 1 diode, this will prevent backwards flow of elecrticity. 6 resistors, these hold back the ammount of electricity, pretty much slowing it down... its all pretty straight foward... go to radio shack and buy everything on the list X2 (for screw ups) a breadboard and a soldering iron and make up your own flashy thingy
