i put apair of hella HID kit in my '01 xterra when i first bought it. now almost 3 years later im having a little problem.one of them goes to turn on and flashes then shuts off. it was doing this for a while so if i would turn it on and off a few times it would eventually stay on. now i cant get it to stay on at all. could the ballast go bad??.or would a relay or loose wire be the problem??is is possible to send it to hella to repair it or is it easier to buy new ones
please le me know what u think it is
thanks

sounds like the ballast is blown. it's been a while your waranty may be outdated. you might have to buy a new ballast.

ok when i was looking around on yahoo the other day cause i decided just to buy new ones instaed of screwing around with send the ballast to hella and waiting and then im going to have a new ballast and an old one and if the other blows out then it was just a waste..but any way,i was looking around an a came across a tutorial on installin them that i wanted to look at. now when i installed my first ones i put a relay for each ballast. this tutorial showed them pluging the balast power wires right in to the stock harnes without any relays isthat good. wont u burn out the harnes or blow fuses like that??? isnt it a little safe with atleast one relay or maybe even 2 like i did??
let me know thanks
