Im havin trouble with my install, 1/2 of one side tube and the rear tube wont fire up, but the front and one side are REALLY bright.. Are the insulators a must, and should i twist the wire together instead of just crimping it, or do i have a couple bad tubes?

Installation is usually the main factor in a products performance.  I would suggest to go all out on the installation and if you still have problems then call the service department.  I suggest to twist the wires, solder and use heat shrink tubing for a secure and tight connection.
