soo...i have some neons in my car, and to find a power source, all i do is either find some other 12v source in my car like my red neons are powered off of my powerwindow switches, and i have my strobes hooked up through and accessory in the fusepanel. i hear running it and hooking it off of somthing in the fuse panel is kind of a fire hazard or somthin? n e suggestions for power sources?

run your power wire off the battery and use a relay or some kind of switch.

-------------
Buy it, install it, play with it. Then take it back out, read the instructions, install it better!

run your power wire off the battery and use a relay or some kind of switch. And don't forget to use a fuse!

Shouldn't really affect your factory wiring, hence the fact that the car has fuses, relay idea is better though off the battery because I found even hooking up neons off wiring inside the car gave me a nasty noise through my stereo because of the interference.  That way the fuse for the relay, as mustang 21 said to do, will blow in the case that the relay overloads or you have a powerspike and won't affect your factory wires.  Make sure though you put the relay away from High water affected areas!

Is there any way to hook them up to your current lighting system?  I want my interiors neons/leds to turn on with my headlights since i will use them for night driving.

On your headlight switch find out what wire the headlights turn on, run a relay from that to your neons/led's, thus the headlight switch will trigger the neons and the relay will prevent damage to the factory system, make sure that the powersource for the relay is fused!  That way if anything goes wrong with your neons, the fuse blows and not your factory stuff!

i say you should have bought a neon with a switch build in to save you a little work. modify the cig adapter that way you turn them on or off when you wish. as for your power source i would have run them off the cigerette lighter. not your power window switches. and keep them fused :D

what do you think would happen if you hooked that wire to that wire :D
