Grabbed some cheap fog lamps.  Used wire that was supplied. I've gone through three switches now.  Not fused higher than the lights are rated at.  Do I need heavier wire? or heavier switch?

Neither use a relay to isolate the switch and protect it from burning out.

Please tell me you used a relay and not wired the lights direct to the switch

A quick picture would be great guys.

What does the relay accomplish compared to wiring directly to the switch?  Can I still retain my switch with the relay wired in?

Thanks!

Thanks for the pic.  I don't get pin 85.   It looks like the switch is getting + from the fuse panel then sending +12v to the relay and the indicator when switched on.  That makes sense.  But how do I wire one switch with the indicator built in? I can't find this anywhere.  it has 3 posts. +12volt  , Ground , and ACC

positive from fuse panel goes to +12volt on the switch then the ACC goes to pin 85?

Yes ......unless you only wanted the foglights to switch on when the parkers are on, in which case the 12 (+) will then need a feed off of the parkers themselvesposted_image
