Okay I have a 3 way 12v. Cig. adapter splitter in my car. I have two 15" Plasmaglow neons in with the Cig. Adapter. Today i tried to turn on both of the neons and the fuse blew. The other one worked. I tried to switch the saftey fuse with the other neon that was working. It turned on for a second then shut off, it blew that one too. I dont know what to do. Did the company just suppy bad Fuses? Please help with suggestions. Thanks

Which fuse blew ? The cigarette lighter fuse or the fuse inside the neon ?

Toss the 3-way adapter and hardwire it to a power source, either from the back of the ignition or battery direct(fused). Make your own ground. The wire going to the back of your cig lighter is either a 16 gauge or an 18 gauge wire, and is only slightly capable of supporting that much of a current draw. That or you bought crappy off-brand neons and they gave out on you. But i would wire them direct anyway. It's more reliable.

All you have to do is hardwire the neon tubes. It looks better that way anyway not to have these bulky cig adaptors all over the place. Solder two wire onto each of the cig adaptors and you all set. The center conductor will be your 12volts and the outer conductors are you grounds. Make sure you tape up the adaptor after your done so nothing shorts out.
