I installed two Autometer gauges in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. They work fine and illuminate with the dash lights. But they will not dim with the dash lights. They stay at full brightness all the time they are on. I hooked them to an illuminated switch on the dash that does work off the dimmer. Any ideas as to how I can get them to dim with the other lights?

usually there are 3 wires to after-market guages power, ground, and light. make sure the light wire is connected to the dimmer.  i never had that problem.
