Hey guys I just got a underglow system for my Acura Rsx Type-s, and I need some help on figureing out.... A-Where to put my two transformers? B-How to get my lights to work with the on/off switch it came with... Heres the deal I already mounted everything and ran the wires were they were needed, but need help on where to place my transformers. Then I need help on why that when I turn my car on the underglowlights turn on and then slowely fade out and then i cant turn them on with the switch it was provided with? I mean where is the best place to hook the power wires and the negeative ground wires? Thanks guys

fades off sounds like bad transformers. id place them where they will not get wet. but will get air. place the ground any where that makes a good contact. pwr wire off the battery. the switch inline with the pwr wire.

A: depends on your specific vehicle.Find a Dry well
ventilated area inside the car.
B: I dont know whats wrong with your switch? test it.
I would use a relay to be safe.
Check all your connections:
Power: use large enough wire , check equipment specs
If you connect directly to the battery use a fuse
close to the batt. This is a good way to test
your transformers. If you turn your lights off
when the car in not running you wont wear your
battery down. That just one of those super
safety messages from the manufactuer. Relay it
off your ign on circuit, or headlamp circuit if
you are concerned about it.
Ground: use same size ground wire as power wire. the Kick
panel is a good spot to find ground, make sure
the wire is connected to BARE metal( use a ring
terminal).
Go to the search engine on this site( top of page)you can find alot o info there.. Happy New Yeart and Good Luck
------------- Just because you've done something for a long time doesn't mean you're any good at it.

Hey man first of all I just want to thank you for all the help you have given me so far and second of all my friend had told me about hooking up my power wire to my cruise control switch so that my cruise control switch will act as my switch to turn the underglow off/on if this is possible how would I go about doing this? thanks man.........

Bad idea.. Do you know what type of amperage your cruise control system can handle other than itself. Remember, items such as a cruis mod are designed to only power themselves, and not high demanding neon lights. Ask your friend if it goes bad, will he buy you a new cruise system? $$$$$ Reread techguys post.

i would have installed a relay... but, it sounds like a) you have a bad ground b) the transformer burnt from lake of pwr (yes it happens) cuz you probably switched it on plenty of times with your original hhok up trying to figure out what was wrong. check you c/c to make sure it still works
