hi,

i have a 2001 corolla it came with a led lighted running board , i recently had an alarm installed but the cretin that did the job somehow managed to cut off and discard the main box that controlled the leds..ie making them come on when the doors are open... he then said oops and left it like that. im trying to figure out how i can connect these leds to work again...i have given up on trying to find a replacement box... i was wondering if i can connect all 4 leds in a series and then to the wire that powers the house light...thereby allowing the leds to come on when the house light comes on...and since the house light can be set to come on when the doors are open this would best mimic the situation that existed in the past... is there anybody out there that can help me out with this problem?

Well, you could do that (wire them to the house light)

or

You could not let the moron get away with breaking stuff in your car and make him fix it.

Where im from there's not much i can do ... so im left with having to fix this problem my self .... is there anybody who knows the wiring schematics for the 2001/2 corolla? this would help me in identifying where and which wire to tap into for my plan to work...also what can i use to reduce the 12v comming from the battery. to preven the led's from burning out?
