hi, i have a 1990 mercury cougar and i wanted to add some 12v mood lighting that will not stay on when i turn my car off. i probably want to put it on a dimmer too, possibly run it through my gage/ dash light dimmer. (this is not really important at all, i just wnat them to dim. i was wondering how/ what i would need to go about doingthis

i actually want the light(s) to come on with my headlights and have a switch to turn them off if i want. i'm sure i can wire an dimmer/on off switch in no problem but i don't know how to wire in lights that will come on with the headlights. i don't know what to use as a power source or how i will make them come on with the headlights.
