Hello,

I'm looking for a bulb to use as the warning light for my alternator. The bulb needs to be less than 2w, or it will blow the alternator regulator.

I have a LED light here that has the spec's of "DC500v 100M" (its a 12v led). My calculations show that this equals a 1.44w bulb....have I calculated it correctly??

Ta
Damo

P=V^2/R
500v^2/100000000ohms= 0.000000223watts
