Hi all, I'm new here and completely new to wiring anything into my car!

I've recently purchased a set of footwell neons and have no clue has to how to wire them!

Firstly the interior ones, I know how to get behind my cigerette lighter and would like to know how I tap into the power supply and connect them up. At the moment the Lights are connected up to a connector which plugs straight into cigarette lighter hole.

Which wire is +ve and which is -ve? How would I install a switch?

Is there a tutorial website that I could use?

Thanks!

The center wire of the cigarette lighter is (+) and the outside is (-). On the neon lights find which wire is connected tot he center pin (+) and mark this conenction as (+). The other will be (-) and conncet to the cigarette lighter wires. Run a switch between the ground wire.

My neons came with a controller box and the positive power wire for the unit is tapped into my lighter from behind, the negative is jut grounded on the chassis. As for the box, I turned it to "On" and tucked it away somewhere behind the dash, since I don't really need to turn them off.
