What would you personally suggest is the brightest and most visible? 4,000K?
6,000K?
8,000K?
10,000K?
12,000K?
14,000K? Honestly, in your opinion, what would you think would be the best? I read in a forum somewhere else that the power output about 6,000K was not very good...
Do you believe that? Thanks.

This chart link below states that the 5,600K puts out the most "brightness"...
I am still skeptical, I would think that the 14K would be the best....

the higher u go the deeper the color will be meaning the higher u go the less light output u will have. the lower u go the more light output u will have. so get something between 4,000 to 6,000 nothing more then that

Sunlight is considered to be 6000K - 8000K depending on the source.

yes but i have had many h.i.d's in my car and no what color they are the brightest i ever had was the 4300k so i would know the 8000k is a deep blue what can u see with blue light at night like i said the lower u go the briter it will be. sun light is nature this are man made think about. it's my 2cents but go ahead and spend your money on 1200k or 14000 nice color but i bet u won't see 2 feet infront of u :)

Color Temperature
Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin (K) that indicates the hue of light source. There is a misconception that color temperature is a rating of the brightness of the HID bulb. The truth is that the higher the color temperature, the less light output from the HID bulb.
However, all HID light is much brighter than Halogen, even if it is a 35W 12000K HID bulb, the light output still maintain well over 2700lm; which is still 300% brighter than 55W Halogen with 700lm.

Lower color temps typicaly have higher light output @ the same power. But since our eyes have more color cones than light cones the blue tint makes the light look a little brighter. The LED on the right has a CCT of 8000K and the light output is 80 lumens. The LED on the left has a CCT 0f 6300k and the light output is 105 lumens. Both leds have a Vf of 3.9 volts and are being driven @ 1 amp.

First off, visit the forum over at www.HIDplanet.com Dont buy any bulbs that say they are HID. In order to have a HID system, you need a custom wiring harness, ballest for each light, projector assy, DS2 bulbs, some type of lense to put the projectors in. Typical OEM Hid kits run about $500, that is a little less than what I paid for my Bi Xenon Hella kit. Please dont buy those so called "HID bulbs." As you can see the pic in the above post has massive glare and is highly illegal. I see that the author has posted over at HID planets forum, do some searching there. You will see pics with sharp light cut-off patterns, that is what you need to have. ------------- Germany aint that bad.

The equivelance of sunlight in an HID is 6000K. This is what I was getting at. Not that HID can reproduce a natural light, but if you want a bulb that will have the equivelant brightness of sunlight, then the 6000K bulb is the one. No that this is the brightest because man-made light can be brighter and in your case saying 4300 is brighter. ------------- Jeff

All high end luxury cars use phillips 4300K for the simple fact that it puts out the most light. As everyone else has already said, it is the closest to pure sunlight on the color spectrum.
