hi all,
i live in illinois, and i was wondering if anyone knows if hyper WHITE/ hid/ or any of the similar are legal for use on a 1995 buick century, and where would i find this info? thanks all

From what I have read most aftermarket HID kits are not DOT legal. The bulbs may say on the packaging. If it says off road use only then they are illegal.

Most hyper white bulbs are gimmicks. Anything that has a colored film on the bulb will reduce the actual output. Different gases in the halogen capsule are all that really can be done, and output increases when you upgrade from argon or bromine(std halogen) to krypton and again to xenon.

HID conversions using halogen OEM assemblies are not legal, and that is practically universal in coverage.
