null's car: 1993 Black Prelude 2dr VTEC, manual 5 speed

I'm upgrading the head and tail lights as well as the corner lights on my car. I'll confess to being a n00b on the subject and was looking for some advice on going about it. The basic questions I have are:

1. Tools required - Anything special? I have a 200+ standard tool set, I'm just wondering if there are any special parts I need.
2. How to get at the parts - It's pretty obvious where the lights ARE, I'm just trying to get opinions as to the best way to get at them. The headlights and corner lights in particular are pretty jammed in there with all the engine components.
3. Will the new aftermarket assemblies require special lamps? - Will the lights I'm buying require their own lamps? or will they use the stock lamps.

As I said, I'm a electrical n00b, so help getting the job done in the form of a walkthrough or something from some of you who know how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, one more thing:
I read the rules and don't want to post the link to where I bought the parts, but if the specific light assemblies are needed to tell me what lamps they require, I am more than happy to provide them in a PM to someone.
