Hey guys, I have a quick question for you pros.  Me and my brother wired up a purge system to his nitrous system. So we wanted to have a little led that came on when he pushed the purge button, its a momentary push button. So we wired it up to the switch just came off the power side of the switch for the power to the led. Well the problem is the led comes on for a split second then it goes off. We're thinking that the purge solenoid is pulling all the power from it. So I was wondering is there a way that i can hook this up to a relay or something so i can pull power from somewhere else but it will make the led come on? if so how and what kind of relay? Thanks for the help.

try a 23 or so kohm resistor in line on the power source wire to the led. it doesn't take more power to run an led it takes less. you can get the resistor from rad shack remember that you can be within 10% of the number i reccomended.

yeah we already have the resistor on there. The problem is that these solenoids pull like 10 amps or something, they suck alot of power. So thats why im wondering if i can make a relay activate from the switch coming on and get my power from another source so the led stays on instead of just blinking and then going off. Anyone know?
