I'm trying to run a Varad LED Scanner to run without an alarm. It's got a black, red, and a yellow wire. I've tried wiring the black to ground, red to 12v and yellow to 12v as well, but no luck.

I'm guessing the yellow wire is the problem, since it usually goes to the alarm. Does anyone know what the yellow wire needs to get this running?

Are you running both the red and yellow at the same time?

well.. umm.. yeah, I gave it a try.

There is no difference with the yellow on or off the power.

Best bet is to contact the manufacturer

https://www.varad.com/index-2.html

You will need the model # of the scanner.

Black and yellow are to be grounded, red is positive.
