okay i've been thinking about this for a couple days. I know this works cause i have a friend who did it just doesnt want to tell me so here i am.

the question is with a relay how can i make my dual filament corner light have both lights on and when i flip the switch i want it to still flicker he did give me a clue and that was he was using a relay with 5 leads so i hope you guys can help!

This should work but you'll need to be able to make proper connections and use a multimeter. It is simple enough where I don't need to give a diagram but bear in mind i am doing this without really knowing anything about your vehicle or even what it is so it is up to you to verify everything before making connections. Purchase 2 standard automotive 12volt SPDT relays, one for left side, one for right. Using a multimeter probe the wires at the back of the light itself and see which one turns 12 volt positive when the switch is on. Tap a wire on to that and connect it to pin 30 on one of the relays (you will see the numbers imprinted on the relays so no diagram is needed) It is not a bad idea to put a fuse for a little extra insurance, the circuit is fused in a fuse panel for your vehicle but why risk losing your lights if something goes wrong. Start with a 5amp fuse, as long as it doesn't blow it should be ok, if not go 7.5amp .Install the fuse on the wire going to 30. Next, with the meter look for the wire that "flickers" 12 volt + when you hit the directional. This is the "second element" but "flicker" works. You will need to cut that wire so essentially you will have 2 wires, one side going to the bulb itself, one side to the vehicles wiring harness. Take the wire half that is running towards the vehicle harness and connect that to pin 86 of the relay. take the other half of the cut wire that is going to the second element bulb and connect that to the center pin which is 87a. There is one pin left (87) which is not used. Tape up the relay since the exposed terminal could short. Mount the relay with a zip tie in a dry spot away from excessive heat and any moving parts. Now repeat the same procedure with the other relay on the other bulb abd you are done. I can't see any reason why this shoudn't work but if you attempt it yourself let me know how it woked out.
