Hello,

I recently purchased a HYPERBRITE blue LED and want to change it out with my current dull LED. What is the best way to go about doing this? I followed the wires and the black wire goes to chasis ground, the red goes to alarm I'm guessing. Should I just cut the existing LED wire and splice into that with my new wire and new LED, ith wire connectors and then just crimp?

If the colors are red and black from the led the just connect them to the existing led wires on yr old led,Rember some companies use differnt colors to their leds but most common are black and red, black - red+ .

The LED I'm replacing is for an alarm LED, 2 volts are output from my alarm. The LED is for any alarm LED replacement, and will handle 2-8 volts (new LED only has 2wires same as existing LED). So, my question is: Should I just splice into the existing wires and crimp with wire connectors, or should I just use existing wires and resolder the new LED on there?
