Hi I have a 94 Chevorlet Lumina and for some reason my brake signal isn't working. My tail lights work fine when I turn on the lights, signal but when I brake it doesn't get brighter or turn on like it is supposed to. However, the middle brake light on top is working fine so I am guessing for some reason the brake switch is not working anymore. Does anyone have any expereince this this?

Did you check the brake bulbs to see if they are burned out. Also check to see if the brake wire at the light is in fact getting 12 volts when the brake is pressed.

Well the brake bulbs light up when I put the turn signal on or when the headlights on normally, however when I press on the brake the light doesn't turn on when the headlights are off or it doesn't get brighter when the headlights are on. So basically I guess it isn't getting the 12 volts it needs when the brake is being pressed? I am guessing there is a unit somewhere in the car that tells the lights to turn on or get brither when I hit the brake and I am guessing that is the part that is malfunctioning. Thanks for the help!

I checked the fuse and that wasn't the problem either. Running out of ideas :(
