I want to change the interior lights on my AC and other switches to LEDs. The circuit for these have 5 or 6 bulbs in parallel and the voltage to them changes with the dimmer. If I were to replace these with LEDs what would have to do? I know I can solder the LEDs in but Im worried about blowing them if I turn the dimmer too high. Any suggestions?

I don't know if i can answer your question, but I have done this in my  chevy s10. The instrument pannel lights were clear 194's and i replaced them with blue 194 wedge leds. The leds work good, but i lost the use of the dimmer. It does not dim them, it only turns them on and off.

these are bulbs that are actually soldered to the circuit board. I cant just swap them, I'll had to resolder in new ones.

They won't be able to dim like dirtjumper895 brought-up.
