Hey everyone, I just have a quick question here, I just picked up 2 neon interior lights, I want to put them under my dash which is no problem. I want to know how I can wire them both up to come on when I open my door, which I know how to do, but I also want to put them on a switch so I can turn them on anytime I want. I figured I could just split the power wire, and one goto a switch and the other to the wire that goes on when the door opens, but will that cause problems if I have the neon light switch on then I open the door? like overload it and start a fire?

Thanks guys

If you have the neons connected to your dome light circuit as well as a powered switch, if you were to turn the switch on with your dome lights off..   the current from the switch would feed into the dome light circuit and power on the other lights in your car as well (unless you isolate the dome light circuit).
