I bought a 93 cavalier from the U.S and I will bringing it to Canada. But because its a U.S model, it doesnt have DRL's. In order to pass the Federal Inspection here, I have to have them. What do I need to do to have my hadlights come on when the key is turned? Thanx

I would tap into the ignition wire and bring that to a relay that will turn on the headlights. Relay Connections 30: Headlight control wire (a yellow or tan wire at the headlight switch) 85: ignition wire (pink wire in the ignition harness) don't forget to fuse 86: ground 87: 12volt source (fused) 87a: leave empty or cap off That should take care of DRL problem. GM does sell a kit to add DRL to any vehicle. It performs exactly like the car was built with it.

Use a 15 amp fuse and your relay is a standard automotive relay. The relays will go by various names, but the most common names are Bosch or SPDT. Prices will vary from $5 - $15 US depending on where you get it from, and whether or not it comes with a harness pack. If it doesn't come with a harness pack you'll need to get a hold of female disconnect terminals for your wiring. Ganbatte ne! ------------- Never send your ducks to eagle school.
