So, a while back I removed the old 4-pin trailer wiring harness from our '92 pathfinder, to solve a brake light fuse problem. Now I need it back. What is the proper way to wire a 4-pin plug into vehicle that uses separate bulbs for brakes (red) and turn signals (orange)? The plug is typical...
White - Ground
Brown - Tailights
Yellow - Left turn/Brakes
Green - Right turn/Brakes
Seems to me that if I tie the yellow wire into the left turn signal and a brake wire, the brake lights would go on when I use the turn signal - unless a diode is installed to prevent the 12v power from tracking back up the brake light wire. But there was certainly no diodes installed previously - - - Am I missing something?
We don't use this vehicle for towing very often, so I do not want to spend the $60 on a vehicle-specific wiring harness for the trailer. So any help would be appreciated - thanks.

Never mind... duh...
I took another look at the harness I pulled out of the Pathy last year - - it was a 6-wire/4-pin plug conversion with a larger 4-pin plug on it (presumably with diodes, etc). So, suspecting the old one was giving me problems, I picked up a new one of these. Now I just need to install it.
Thanks.
