Ok, I am a complete noob to electronics, I love cars and the two fields have merged and Im lost. I have an '04 Jeep TJ (Wrangler), I changed all the bulbs over to the replacement type LEDs, the one's that just pop right into the existing plug. Then I got the fast flash "problem". I changed the flasher over to an led model EP27. That slowed the flashing down to normal but for some reason when I try to use the hazards all I get is an irritating buzz coming from the flasher until it will eventually blow the hazard fuse. Why is this? Also, I dont know if this is related or not but I noticed when I turn the left signal on, the right one ever so slightly lights up and flashes too. Its quick but noticeable. It does this when either signal is on, the opposite lights as well. My less than intelligent thoughts on the subject is that these LED's need so little current to light that they do so even when there is just a little bleed over. Thats where we come to resistors (I assume anyway). Ive seen the large generic ones available at parts stores but all there packaging reads "not for continuous use, use for blinkers or hazards only", well, the same lights that are the blinkers and hazards are also the running lights which are on whenever the headlights are. I dont want to fry my electrical harness. Are these safe? Are they the best option? Are the two problems Im having related?

Please, keep answers child-ishly simple. Ive read most of the threads on hear and they are already waaaay over my head.

Looks like Im going to try the generic ones at the auto parts store. I re-read the package, it does say only for turn and hazard but also says they only get as hot as the original incandescant bulb. We'll see what happens.

Nothing worked. When one side was on the other side would still flash as well. Hazards never worked, only buzzed. Replaced all LED bulbs with incandescants, replaced flasher with stock. All problems gone and even noticed the stock bulbs were brighter than the LEDs that were in it. In short, if you have a Jeep, dont waste your time/money with LED bulbs its not worth it. Thanks for all the help.
