Hey everyone,

I changed my parking light bulb to a blue LED bulb. The bulb I put in didn't fit so I drilled the housing hole a little bit larger than normal. My parking lights happen to be my turn signals as well. Now when I put on 1 turn signal they blink unusually fast. When I put on my hazard lights they both blink at the same time like they should and at a normal pace like they should. I was curious as to why one or the other blink really fast when I put on the left or right turn signal. My guess would be that the bulb requires more power than the power reaching it.

Anyone got a good reason for this?

Most LED bulb replacements come with a resistor pack. The LED bulbs have less resistance thatn a standard bulb.

Do some "googling" you will see.....

You have a couple options.

#1: Go to your local auto parts store and look for an electronic "low load" flasher. If your new lights have enough resistance that'll be all you need. The 'low load" flashers don't need as much resistance as the factory ones.

#2 If that doesn't work you'll have to wire a resistor inline with the turn signal wire on each side. Similar to something like this: https://www.plasmaled.com/tail_light_led_bulb_fix.htm
