Well i recently just got my tail lights smoked and there pretty dark. Just wondering if anyone knows if they make brighter bulds for tail lights that would be brighter then stock. Maybe LED or HID tail lights ? if there is such a thing

What is the year, make, and model of your car?

There may be a bulb with a higher candlepower rating = brighter.

Well, your Explorer takes 3157 bulbs for the tail/stoplamps. 3157's are the same but brighter than 3057's.

No luck with this (would be) easy solution. If your Explorer used 3057's then you could replace them with 3157's and get a bit more brightness from them. Too bad, though.

That's all i've got for ya, sorry I couldn't have helped...

My bad, I shoud've already stated that you can get 3157 led lights. Just search for them online.

If your lenses are red (then smoked) you can get white ones. If the lenses are clear, you'll need red ones.

Stay with the red on both cases.... white puts less red light wavelength which will appear dimmer than using red led.... they usually put around the same lumen's out. The lens (if red) just filters out non red light, which is fine for red led's.
