I sent my avic n2 back for a recall on the screen motor, when I got it back I hooked it back up and when I reset it, it does not go to the time screen, instead right to the main screen, I thought kinda weird, so I could not set the time. I then put in the nav disk and then a black screen came up which states "the disk is being checked". After about a minute it goes to the main screen, and when I hit the Nav button a white screen appears stating "attention this is not the appropriate disk, please insert the appropriate disk". Everything else works fine, even the DVD player but for some reason I can't get the navigation screen to appear. Is there something wrong with my disk, I tried both, or do I not have something properly hooked up, or is it my reset button? Thanks in advance for any help.
I actually figured out what was wrong, when they sent me back my disc they didn't format it or something properly. So I called up pioneer and talked to a very nice guy who walked me through a step by step process to set up my disk properly. When you hold the reset button and the eject button at the same time for a few secs a prompt screen will appear with a lot of different options, pretty cool I thought. Pioneer support was great, and really made my day! (1-614-777-7200)
