a buddy of mine purchased the massive audio p3000.1 and also got 4 cerwin vega vmax that are dual 2ohm and he asked me to help him install it. my question is the amp is only 2 ohm stable however in the manual it says 1500rms x 2 at 1ohm i guess because its got 2 channels. on ampguts it says that its nothing more then 2 of the p1500.1 amps combined. does that mean i could put a 2 ohm load on each of those channels?

I'm not sure what you're looking at - the manual from the website clearly specifies 2680 @ 2 ohms, and it doesn't have two channels, it has two pairs of outputs so it's easier to run more than one speaker lead.

The 1500.1 is 1250@1 which is where the 2680 (roughly 2500) at 2 comes from.

If you put a 2 ohm load on each pair of the 3000.1's terminals the amp sees a 1 ohm load, and that's going to cause problems.

To get all 2680w to four vmax's you needed dvc 4's.  However, at 4 ohms (8 ohms on each channel) it only drops to 1800 which is still 450w per sub.  Barely noticeable (vs 650) in the big picture.

ok it has 2 pairs of outputs but is a 1 channel amp in the manual it says 1500 x 2@1ohm i believe that it may be one amp hooked up to each output and that when u bridge them u would get twice the watts but a 2 ohm load or does that sound wrong? this is the amp if u click on user manual you will see what i mean by 1500watts x 2

Yes.  Fourth box from the bottom, right-hand-most column.
