If you are trying to build a loud system, Kicker is a good choice.

Whats your goal? Pure SPL with no sound quality, or do you want something that actually reproduces music and gets loud to boot?

If your looking for more SQ then your looking in the wrong area completely for subs. Whats your budget? And what amp do you need to match up to?

also be sure to break in the subs. I've owned kicker subs b4 and learned that you need to break them in, if you dont it seems like the wires for the voice coils always pop off..

Money not an issue the current amp I have is an audiobahn a2200hct 800rms x2 1600 rms x1 ,3200 peak. I plan to run them mono. Other than that if the subs I pick need more power I might get another amp the same size and run the dvc subs into the amp mono and gt a bigger battery and a ho alt.

quite sure this has nothing to do with breaking in of the subwoofer

Well I would probably recommend these subs:

(1)Resonant Engineering SX
(1)Fi car audio BL
(2)FI car audio SSD
(1)TC-3000 if you can find them (tc sounds)
(1) Sound splinter RL-S series

This is all I can think of off the top of my head.

Have had good luck with the Treo stuff. I highly doubt those Audiobahn numbers, 1600W peak is a stretch, forget about 3200W.

i loked at all the subs you recommended  and im looking towards

Fi car audio BL, the Fi car audio BTL, and the Resonant Engineering SX . the only difference on the fi is the price change and some specs. i was looking toward putting them in a sealed box and the rec. specs are n/a cuft what does that mean. what do you all think

Money is not an issue and your using Audiobahn? Maybe try and get a better amp first if money isn't an issue, if it is and you want to keep your current setup look into TC Sounds or Eclipse or any other brand that was recommended, but really consider a better amp.

Multiply A'bahn's numbers by about 0.25 and you are closer to reality.

All the subs on the last list are good performers.

We blew a 160.6 out of an S-10 Ext cab with 3 Audiobahn Immortal 15's & 16 Audiobahn 2200's. If you don't beleive, look for Rick Logan in the 06 Cali USACi stats page. Mike Jaffe was officiating.

WIth that said.....the Audiobahn amps will do 1600W, but at 10% distortion.

It sounds like the guy is thinking SQ, but really wants street bass.

The MTX 9500 15's are the best sounding 15 I have ever herd. I think it is too much sub for what he is wanting, so the 8500 may be a better choice.

just my .02
