Help with this one please!!
My system has been together for over two months now. Just TODAY it starts having engine noise!! posted_image
The amp for the highs, which is fed from the hi-pass of the bass amp, has a selectable mono/stereo button. The engine noise is inaudible when in the mono position.

WTF? Any ideas???

1) Check your grounds. You never know when a good ground can go bad! Corrossion can occur when/where you least expect it. Clean the ground point to be safe.

2) Check your RCA's, speaker wires, and Power wires. Make sure your RCA's and speaker wires are run down the opposite side of the car as the power wire. Even if you ran them that way, check them again. Things can shift/get pulled and what used to work fine now has problems!

Hadnt considered corrosion. I suspected it had something to do with the moisture/winter storms.

Sometimes there's noise, sometimes there isnt. Go figure. I gotta make time to go through my system.

Thanks Squirrel. I'll check it out.
