I was wondering if an amplifier can be changed, or modified so that it can increase the output. I'm only asking this because I have a setup where the amp is only 37 watts, which almost makes it quieter than the stock car speakers!
I really didnt want to have to buy a new amp, dont have money for that, but I was wondering if I can tweak my current amp somehow so that it might put out more. Dont really care how much, anything more would be better, thanks!

You could probably tune it to get a little more bump, but other than that, your gonna have to wait till you can afford a new amp. What kind of sub are you running that can handle 37 watts, im curious.

Sounds like an OEM setup in which case no, you cannot just use a larger amp with the factory speakers. But please, read the forum rules and post your gear. ------------- Support the12volt.com

yeah, sorry bout not listing the setup. It is a Visonik VBX12A. I bought for a x-mas, and its the 12" sub, box and amp for only $45. So I realize its gonna be low end stuff, but I hooked it up today, and it plays just fine, but it deffinatly needs more power to get the sub playing good. check out this link here to see the specs if you want.

Please, let me know if can do anything that could help, or can I maybe add another couple of crappy amps I can buy for like $50 off craigslist. Thanks

No offense but it looks to me that you got exactly what you paid for. Can you take it back? ------------- Support the12volt.com
