This is my first time in this forum, and I was looking to get pointed in the right direction.  I used to do my own small car audio systems(crutchfield...) and now am looking to install another system in a new car I got. I have a '99 dodge stratus and want to buy some equiptment to replace the factory stuff. I am looking for "the usual" loud, but good quality equiptment. I would like:

speakers w/@ least 200-300w rms per speaker/channel-front spkrs 6.5"-rear spkrs 6x9"

single sub-maybe 10"

2-3 amps for speakers

I'm looking to spend about $2,000

I could use some help with brands and model#'s for any of this stuff. I don't really know any high powered companys that sell this stuff.

Any help much appreciated,

Rob P

Rob, I'm going to give you the same advice as 20 or 30 other people on this forum would. There is no answer to your question except you. Go to your local independent shop and listen. Stick to high end name brands for head units, Alpine, Eclipse, Kenwood etc. For amps look at JL, Alpine, Zapco or JBL. Speakers are entirely personal taste as are subs, try to listen to the speakers with the amps you will be buying. Buy from a dealer who will be there to install and service your system. Don't buy the MOST you can buy, buy the BEST you can buy. Happy hunting.

There is no such thing as free installation!
