im going to be geting 1 12in earthquake sub  and 1 15in earthquake sub, would it be better to use to mono blocks or 1 big amp, the subs are both in differnt boxes and will be tuned at diff freq's so i dont no if that helps and will i need a capacitor ?

In that case, they should probably go into different cars as well.

Mixing up sub sizes, different boxes and cones playing the same frequencies, etc., is an exceptionally poor way to do an install.  Without fancy crossovers or signal processors, this, without any exception I'm aware of, produces some really poor results.  From cancellation to just plain signal bleed, I couldn't imagine the hodgepodge of low-end that would rumble from your car.

What sort of car are you installing into?

Why don't you get TWO 12's or a single 15.
