Is it possible to wire two different amps to a single voice coil? Same wattage, but different amps.

Yes and no.  They do make amps that are strappable, meaning you can connect 2 of them to the same voice coil.  They have to be the same identical amplifiers.  There are several manufacturers that use the same exact internal boards.  Thus being different amplifiers but the are really identical.  Planet Audio 2250 is the same amp as a Power Acoustic 3000D.

The amps have to be strappable.  What kind of an amps are you trying to do this with?
