I have recently purchased a tsunami 2 farad cap. I am not sure how to ground it properly. My delima is should i ground both amps to the cap and chasis ground the cap or not? I have an a800v running 2 kicker cvr124, and a profile ap1000 running my highs. The cap i ordered has three 4g positive and three 4g negative connections. I was hoping to be able to eliminate the ground lood interference from the high amp that way. Can it be wired this way and is it safe or not?
I would ground the cap to where the amps are ground to the chassis. I would try and keep all ground wires as short as possible, so grounding the amps to the caps wouldn't be a good idea, as it would most certainly lengthen the length of the ground wire, which will increase the chance for noise.

I have both amps grounded now under a seat belt bolt. I tried seperating them and having them at the same location but it makes no difference. I believe it is my high amp but it could be the head unit. I just recently got a new sub amp and used the old for the highs. It was fine on my subs, but i did pull the head unit again to run rca jacks for the highs. The grounds are about 12 inches long each.
that is true. A cap can only supply the amp with extra power or "fill" ion the power gap when your subs hit a low note. If you wish to reduce dimming i would upgrade the alternator
