Total Rookie here. I'm helping my son wire his 2000 Durango with an Install Edge IEC AULOC Line output converter. He lost the wiring diagram, is there anyway to find that on-line or is anyone familiar with this item? It has 2 sets of white and black heavier gauge wires and 2 brown lighter gauge wires.

i would assume white is (+) and black is (-) and the brock will be grounded to prevent and noise. Some LOC have a ground isolator so it might that. Well mess around with it and see which is whick. Its not really possibe to blow a LOC since the current from speaker wires arent much.

You should see a thin black stripe on two of those heavier gauge wires. Those connect to negatives of the left and right speaker wires you are tapping. Disregard the pair of brown wires.

So, you have two speaker inputs, each with pos and neg, four wires total. Your two channel LOC has four wires to accomodate them, and two should be striped to be used for the negatives. The brown wires, if used, are to be grounded to car's chassis if you are experiencing induced hum. Typically they are better not used if no bad symtoms occur.
