This is for a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado with the I5

First Question, I want to mount the fuse holder for my system to the top of the battery box, . Whats the best way to fasten it down, I was thinking really super duty tape of some kind.

Second, if that doesnt pan out, what has everyone else done as far as placement is concerned, its a kicker 0gauge fuse holder so it is pretty beefy

dont place the fuse on the battery. Fasten it to the chassis or use some very good double side tape. i usually palce all my fuses with 8 inches of connecting the batter and place the fuse to the wheel mount.

I recommend bolting the fuse holder to the inner fender or some other sheet metal.

I had a tough time finding a good spot in my contour.

I ended up running a couple #10 bolts through the lid of the engine compartment fuse box.  Works really well.

If by battery "cover" you mean a shell of some kind that elcoses the battery I would think you could make it work about like I did with my fuse box lid, but be absolutely positive - if you use bolts like I did the metal is no where near the battery terminals or any wires.
