im helping a friend install a head unit in a 2005 ram 2500 with the infinity sound system. we have the can bus harness but the radio still doesnt play sound.the head unit is brand new and has been tested. the head unit is an alpine 9885. any tips will help.....

Is the internal amp on the deck by chance (power IC) .....shut off. It's a cool feature, but might be at fault here!
