My brother inlaw is looking a quality sub that is accurate and will play deep. 1 12" sub he already has a older Fosgate(fosbrake) Power BD1000.1 amp Also doing the big 3.
Any how I have heard very good things about the Eclipse titanium (or there sw7200 and the TC Sounds Revo 12 looks promising as well. He is wanting to drown out the car next him playing there rap and hit them with country or classical music. Planning on using a sealed box.
Being that he dose listen to classical that is why I have chosen these 2 subs to look at. The rest of the system is still up in the air as far as his separates and amp to drive them. Most likely a Eclipse 4 channel amp.

accurate, deep, SPL, and SEALED BOX do not generally go well together unless you have a 32 sub sealed wall diamond.
What does he want??? SQ?? or SPL??? Maybe a little mix of both???

You should check this sub out: https://www.diycable.com/main/product_info.php?cPath=24_93&products_id=653 It will sound better than anything TC or Eclipse has available ( as in lower distortion with a flat response), will get plenty loud and play very deep with the huge excursion capabilities, and is a huge value at that price.

Not necessarily true...

Sealed and loud don't go sure, then again I had a sealed box with 2 12 each had 2.5cu.in. each and was able to hold down 140.6 with a blurb of 142db but what do I know? Plenty loud for my street beats.

Dose Shiva have any local manufactures around that I can take a closer look and hear them? Unless I missed something on there sight?

Well everyone has there own definition of loud. 140 to me is decent. But not "drowning out other people".
I've always wanted to hear an XBL^2 driver though.
I was reading about those Shiva X's and the Pmax is maximum input power.
What is the rms rating for these drivers.

As with any subwoofer, that will be application dependant. They offer several applications and specify recommended power levels for each.
