A friend told me that Ford runs all of its wires together in a harness to a central point in the vehicle.  Is this true?  If so, where is it?  I want to install a powered bass tube in the back seat of my 2000 Ford F-150 extended cab, four door, and I need to get all for speaker channels and power to the tube.  I'm hoping my friend is right so I don't have to tap in behind the head unit.  Any tips would be great.

I suggest using power from the battery for any type of amplification. Using the power from the OEM wires will cause a potential fire in the vehicle from getting too hot under load.  Removing the HU is simple on the F-150's. If you do not have the Ford keys to remove the OEM deck, use 4 allen keys and insert them into the slots and pull to each side while pulling out the deck. Access the speaker wires from behind the deck.
