Hey everyone, we just started carrying American Bass here at the store, and received our first amp today.  It's an SQ2000 2 Channel Amp.  Does anybody know anything about it?  It feels solidly built, and doesn't look too shabby on the inside.  It's got 4 ga. gold plated input terminals, and gold plated RCA and speaker output terminals also.  The rating on it is 500W X 1 @ 4ohm RMS, 200W X 2 @ 4 ohm RMS, and 300W X 2 @ 2 ohm RMS.  The sales rep said that it'll push 1000W into 2ohm mono.  I'm having a hard time believing this though, as the amp is only fused for 60 amps of current draw.  Has anybody used this amplifier before or have any experience with this line of product?  Thanks!!

Seriously though, I doubt you are going to find too many favorable reviews of ANYTHING American Bass here... What it looks like is merely an indicator of how much they WANT you to like it... Audiobahn builds some really good looking stuff - INSIDE - and they are still "furry flushables", if you know what I mean. Like my grandpappy used to say: "You can silver plate a turd, and all you get is a shiny turd!"

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I was thinking the same thing honestly!  I just don't understand why they go and spend all the money on marketing and gimmicks when they probably could spend the same amount on building a quality products and let good word of mouth do the advertising!
