Hi all..

I just put together a quick beater car for the wife to learn to drive in.. '83 Corolla 4 door (ae71)..

Years ago when i was still in the electronics bus. a couple companies had dedicated tuner/changer controllers with no CD/tape (yeah, its been awhile) mech in them.

The stock location in this corolla is high up on the dash, appears to be DIN sized across the front panel, but is only 4-5" deep.

Im hunting for a shallow, DIN sized tuner/IPOD controller.. as the stock radio is AM only, so I can't even use an FM mod on it.. Does anyone make such a beast these days?

thanks,

Brett

The Clarion FB275BT is a nice piece, as is the Alpine iDAX100, and iDAX101.  Good luck!

thanks for the suggestions.. I hadnt seen those, having surfed their websites now it looks like non are shallow however.. the Alpines are only 1/8" shorter than a couple of the other normal CD decks I checked on their site..

Looks like I may just have to fab something up in a console..

cheers,

Brett

I recently come across a deck that was tuner/usb/sd that was only 100mm deep, i'll do some digging on it I can't remember what it was.  However it was a no name.
