Lost my password so I made a new name.. Climate control lights went out, idk if it's tied into the radio harness or maybe i pulled something or even blew a fuse? It's a MK3 Jetta ~94? This happened after I installed a aftermarket deck. Any idea's? -Thanks

You connected your radio's ground wire to the illumination wire of your car. The wire looks like the ground wire untill you turn the lights on, and then it has 12 volts on it. Cut the radio ground wire from the wire you have it connected to, insulate the end of the wire and ground your radio to the chassis of the car.

always check fuses first!! if you verify that there are no blown fuses then you may want to pull the deck and verify that you didnt pull any wiring loose from the climate control. volkswagon dasses are notorious for being tight so it is very possible you could have pulled a wire loose from a climate contol connector. did all of your dash lights go out or just the climate control lights?? if they all went out i would lean way towards a blown fuse, but even if they didnt, a blown fuse is still always a possibility and the easist to check for to start... ------------- if at first u dont succeed........ lower ur standards

Anyone know the wire colors and locations for the positive wires that power the climate control lights, or the ground?? Thanks.
