i have a question is there any other pre-test or practice test sites that is online that you might beable to take for 12 volts other than the mecp pre test... and also for those out there are looking to take the basic installers test... its not to bad of a test but i would get a study guide and by the way i did fail by 2 points. but will study agai and take it again

the test pretty much comes from the study guide practice test.. learn the study guide front to back back to front and you should be jsut fine on your second try

i think recently they added stuff about HD and Bluray so get a decent grasp about that for sure then do the test. Good luck to you.

well thanks you guys... i have the taking thier pre-test on the web site.. just was wondering if there was any other car audio sites that might offer other test... i also have the study guide. ut it has nothing to do with blue ray or hd.. but that would be nice to know about each of them

i took the basic installers test today and passed with an 80%. i was scared i would not have passed....lol

Finally i decided to find that practice test and got an 87% so i decided to order the study guide! hopefully ill become certified before the summer.

hey i just recently took the basic test but i was at installer institute when took but seemed kinda easy biggest thing really was ohms law basic elect. was hardest part most other stuff is commen sense took me hour and passed with 88 honestly the advanded test was easier than the basic and dont remeber seening anything bout hd or blue ray just the types sourrounds
