I am currently driving a 2002 mitsubishi galant and i currently have a DHD deck, not too sure the exact model, i got it hooked up, but it keeps turning off on me. i would turn it on and about 30 seconds later it would just shut off. and i would have to keep doing this. its making me sick so i was wondering if anyone out here could distinguish the problem.

wat it do?
What's the rest of the system? What kind of speakers are being used and what's their impedance? Sounds to me like you may be using 2-ohm speakers with a deck not designed for that. Or you simply may have a loose connection, or a defective head unit.

check your wiring connections... if all is good then i would say your deck is defective like stated above

if at first u dont succeed........ lower ur standards
could be a overload protection check all your spearker connections at the deck it self and the speakers check your spearkers to maybe wrong ohm dissconnect one speaker at a time and try it

You could try unhooking all the speakers, checking power/ground/ignition connections, then turing the radio on. If the problem persists, then you have a defective headunit. If the problem is gone, then you have speaker problems. Then you can go about verifying which speaker/why after this.
Do you have the infinity system in it? If you do did you bypass it or are you trying to interface in with the amp? If not, try what greenbroncoguy said and use process of elimination. If you do have the infinity system, bypass the amp and replace the speakers with 4 ohm loads.
