I have hooked up an insignia 1000 watt amp to two insignia subwoofers...they sound amazing but there is distortion when i turn the amp from low to full or high.... I read somewhere that i should wire one of the wires around the other side..but i do not remember exactly what it was.. any help ?

If you just put the crossover on Low and leave it alone, do you have the distortion?

no.. when it is on low, everything sounds good, there is no unwanted noise...

Why are you switching the crossover off of the low-pass setting?

The subs can't produce high frequencies, so what you are wanting to do is useless. If you want more sound, upgrade your speakers and put an amp on those. The subs are for bass.

It looks like he is flipping the HP/LP filter switch. He wants his highs to come from his subsposted_image.

Just leave the switch set on the "low" setting and boom away - you don't want high's coming from the subs...
