What are you trying to check, just to see if they are still good, or pinched, or what?

You can test for continuity from one end tyo the other, or if you think they are pinched somewhere possibly check continuity with ground

I'm guessing that you are asking about reading deck output voltage?  Be careful touching probes to the business end of a RCA that is connected to the deck.  If you contact both the pos and neg with a probe you can quickly fry a crucial part of the deck.  If it's for the purpose of setting amplifier gain and you want to know where to set the gain according to markings, that's a notoriously bad idea.  You can't rely on vague markings around a gain dial to set this very important setting.  Forum search for setting gains

Or did you just want to troubleshoot the wire itself as ya boy mike guessed?
