i've decided to make my own 3-way components since i have a lot of parts laying around. So far i have a MB QUART 3-way passive crossover, kicker impulse I57.2. what should look for to finish this off.

Well, TECHNICALLY, without knowing what kind of "voicing" (i.e. padding, EQ, Zobel, etc.) is built into the crossovers, you really can NOT say what drivers you can connect to them. You may or may not get any kind of desirable response at all...

Who knows WHAT your final results will sound like. My bet is "crapola".

Best bet? Toss whatever idea you THINK you can do with those parts, and start fresh. Sell your crossovers AS THEY ARE on eBay to somebody that might actually have the OEM drivers, designed to work with those passives. Don't try to buy off the shelf drivers, and try to connect them to those crossovers.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
