Alpine doesn't list the F1 products on the site. The search only returns the F1 3-way ScanSpeak.
Any dealers confirm the cancellation?

Mike LeClaire, my rep here in the beautiful northwest, says they are done producing that over priced wonder product. What they had left was being sold a rediculousley (how ever you spell it) LOW prices............. still too much money fro the average joe!

The F1 stuff had one thing going for it. Better than average parts and not all the extra crap you see on most HU's today. It did come at a $$$.

I miss my 7909. It had min. controls, didn't blind me with worthless info and it sounded good. The Nak stuff broke alot, sounded great.

Just one less choice for an audiophile grade product.

Argh!!! Get out of my head!

Otherwise, the F1 was a fantastic piece, with a SERIOUSLY cost-is-no-object mindset to it. I'd just as soon have one of the older, higher end Eclipse decks... The F1 is a good piece of gear, but eclipsed today by even some middle-of-the-road stuff, especially considering the money to enter the game!

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
